Hope & Support

One of the most shocking and realistic moments during pregnancy comes when you are diagnosed with a fetal syndrome. For weeks you have been thinking about the day your baby or babies are born, not about life and death. Information and proper medical help is imperative when diagnosed with a fetal syndrome. You are your most important advocate. Many of these syndromes are not well known to the general medical community. We are here to arm you with the information you will need in doing all you can to seek proper medical treatment.

Fetal Hope is the only foundation to have alliances with the top fetal centers across North America; most are on Fetal Hope's Medical Advisory Board. This ensures we can provide to you the most up-to-date medical, treatment and fetal center contact information.

Fetal Hope provides emotional support to families and friends upon a diagnosis, financial support and medical transportation to those in financial need, diagnosis support from other families that have experienced like fetal syndromes and bereavement support (through HeartStrings Connections). For help upon diagnosis, please call us at 1.877.789.HOPE (4673), 24 hours a day.

The Fetal Hope Foundation currently supports the following fetal distresses.

On each page you will find a description of the syndrome, frequency of occurrence, treatment options and listings of additional resources.

If you are in need of medical help, please see our "Medical Centers" section for a list of qualified fetal centers. Please also see our "Medical Centers" section if your condition is not listed, many of the centers treat many other fetal conditions not currently listed here. It is the intent and mission of Fetal Hope to support as many fetal conditions as possible. Newly supported fetal conditions will be added as Fetal Hope receives the necessary information to support them.
