The start line is located just inside the SE corner of the park. From I-25, take the Broadway exit 207A. Head south on South Broadway. Turn left onto Louisiana Avenue heading east to Franklin Street and park at South High School. Cross Louisiana Avenue to the north into the park to the start.

Registration

Note: Children that will be pushed in a stroller or will not be actively participating in the main 5K Run/Walk are not required to register unless they want an event t-shirt and bib.

Stroller Division - For those who want to be recognized for the hard work of pushing a stroller. Only the participant pushing the stroller should select this division.

Divisions

  • 5K Run/Walk
  • 5K Stroller Division (for those of you that deserve a reward for running/walking while pushing a stroller)
  • Kids Fun Run (no registration required, free to all kids)

  • Twins and Team Division (Team up with your twin or fellow wanna be "twin" runner and compete as a team. Combined times will be used for awards and place)

  • $25 Adults (13 & Over)
  • $18 Twins & Multiples - Per person, all must be participating
  • $18 Kids (12 & Under) or Adults (60 & Over)
  • $50 ($36 for real Twins) Twins and Team Division (must sign up as a team)

T-shirts, bibs and timing chips will be distributed on race day. A $25 fee will be charged for all unreturned chips.

Mail-in Registration, must be postmarked by 10/31/08, (form coming soon).

T-shirts and bibs will be distributed at time of registration at sign-up locations. Present bib at registration on event day for timing chip. A $25 fee will be charged for all unreturned chips.

Registration includes long-sleeved t-shirt, refreshments and post-race expo and family festival.

Individual Awards

Awards will be presented to:

  • The first three overall male & female finishers.
  • The first three overall male & female stroller finishers.
  • The first three overall (combined best times) all male, all female, or mixed twin and team challenge finishers.
  • The first three age group finishers (male & female) in the following age categories: 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over.
  • Finisher ribbons will be awarded to all kids participating in the Fun Run.

Awards ceremony, Family Festival and Sponsor Expo will immediately follow 5K finish.

Post Race Sponsor Expo and NOMOTC Family Festival

Join the NOMOTC (National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs) and our sponsors along with Ronald McDonald, the Denver Fire Department, and many more for fun, refreshments and prizes at one of Denver's largest post race expos and family festival.

The Cause

The funds raised by the Race for Hope go to saving babies lives and giving hope to families by spreading awareness of Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS) and other fetal syndromes, providing needed financial and emotional support to families, providing medical assistance and by funding medical research. Thousands of multiple pregnancies are affected each year in the U.S. and most cases result in the loss of one or both babies.
